Experience
I am a graduate of the University of Missouri, with a Bachelor of Science in Education. I also hold a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from the same institution. I learned conversational Spanish while traveling to Spanish speaking countries. I tutor students in Elementary Math through Algebra, Reading, Writing, Psychology, Social Sciences, and Spanish, but my area of greatest expertise and interest is in Science. In particular, I like working with students in Anatomy, Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Physiology, and Physics. I also assist with ESL/ELL and preparation for all sections of the ACT. When I'm not working, I enjoy getting active outdoors. Some of my favorite outdoor activities include canoeing, hiking, and backpacking. Also, I am advance rescue certified in SCUBA diving. I also enjoy traveling, and learned to speak Spanish through my travels and immersion in the language.
