I am currently pursuing an Associate's Degree in Engineering at Metropolitan Community College. After one more semester, I plan on enrolling at UMKC to obtain my Bachelor's degree.
Experience
This Spring semester, I am enrolled in Engineering Physics II and Calculus III. Math has always been a strong subject for me, and it will give me great joy to help others succeed in this area. My Calculus professor always make sure to tell us that 'it is a good day' during class; her enthusiasm is infectious and one of the many reasons I enjoy learning. I hope my presence will do the same. In the past, I have been a YouthFriends mentor for several years. I was privileged to work with one student per school year on a weekly basis with anything that they were having difficulty with in class. I genuinely care about the success of others and will do everything I can to ensure that they grasp the material. Ultimately, I want to make a positive difference in the attitude and approach that students have toward their education, because I believe it is something we should not take for granted.

Tues/Thurs after 4PM, Wednesday after 3PM, Weekends in the morning, Monday in the morning

Up to 1 hour away at my regular hourly rate, Up to 30 minutes away for no additional charge
Hobbies
In my spare time, I enjoy baking, reading, and painting. I also love to run and have ran in many 5k's and 2 half marathons. I do it to challenge my body both mentally and physically.
